Moschino Vs. McDonald's ??

Although all the fashion world and fashionista over there are used to Moschino being all crazy and creative with their collections, but it was never like this, no one expected that at all!! I mean come on, what happened Moschino?!
Did you go to McDonald's and decided to have a cheese burger with fries and then got fascinated by their sense of STYLE?! No one would ever want to work at fast food restaurant unless they have to, and you made your models walk on a runway for autumn/winter 2014, in Milan fashion week with McDonald's employees outfits?!
To be honest I really do have mixed feelings about this collection, I mean I like the iPhone case and one of their bags, I'll point it out in the photos below..BUT I feel like I can get what they are displaying on the runway anywhere with a much cheaper price, what I meant is it's not that unique. Moschino is a high end brand they should stand or rise by their standards and not sink in that low again!
But overall it was disappointing yet horrible!! Please Moschino I Love You, don't do this again!
Oh, and they didn't just do McDonald's, they also made some sponge bob shirts and also some junk food like Hershey's chocolate, fruit loops etc.
I'll leave you with the collection.. please if you're sensitive to horrible fashion and fashion emergencies like me don't watch! I repeat DO NOT WATCH!
Just kidding, some of you might actually like it, so enjoy it..

Why so LAZY?!

I loved the bag that's on the left!

Do you want milk shake with that?!

But to be very fair some of the pieces in the collection were quite lovely for an everyday look, I loved it and it screamed Moschino. It has this kind of 80s vibe to it. I loved these items which are shown in the photos below...

And for the grand finale a " nutrition facts " wedding dress.. Augh I know what you're all thinking, OMG!!
Oh my god indeed..

Finally, I just want to say please Moschino don't make the same mistake agian, because I love your brand and what you do! Please do'nt disappoint me again.

So I was asked by this great fashion magazine named ( Crystal Carnival ) to cover Saudi Design Week for them, and of course I said Yes! without any hesitation.. and I did went to all the days of SDW and covered almost everything and did some interviews with the speakers. I loved the experience on being kind of a reporter for a fashion magazine!
So without further ado, here is the link to my article:

So yesterday night I was invited to this amazing event called ( Nahar Triangle) it was very interesting and unique in many ways, there were lots of fascinating people. I met some fellow bloggers as well, and it was so refreshing meeting up with them I learned a lot about their backgrounds and it's always a pleasure meeting up with them!
The styling on the mannequins were so impressive and very well thought out, loved the story behind each on of the outfits. Some celebrities also made an appearance like Fahad Albutairi, and Mississippi (stand up comdians) from Telfaz11 and Luxury Events.
I will leave you with some of the pictures:

The man of the hour Nahar Behind The Mask.

I took a photo with Fahad Albutairi

I also met these two very stylish guys, and it turned out that they were fashion designers as well. Their style is effortless but striking, and I really loved the black leather skirt that one of them was wearing. Here are the edgy CEO and partner of ( Ghetto Inc. Records ).

I Sabotaged VOGUE !!

So I woke up this morning feeling so inspired, and I wanted to do something different with my time instead of watching a movie or my usual shows; I mean it all can wait for the sake of Fashion and Art haha..
I have this AMAZING issue of vogue and instead of just browsing through it, I decided to sabotage it, and by sabotage I mean I drew and doodled over some models. Don't worry I kept it clean and unharmed, I mean it is after all one of my favorite vogue magazines around the house.
I'll leave you with the photos, and please tell me what do you guys think of it ..

One of my absolute favorite illustrators of ALL TIME is this man right here, Erte; Why? You ask. Well he is simply a genius in illustrating fashion and creating amazing curved subtle lines (All.By.Hand!). Erte was famous for his Art Deco illustrations, he also loved the theater so much that he designed the costumes for a silent movie called " The Restless Sex".
The amount of detail in his work is very inspirational for any Fashion Illustrator like myself. You can actually see the fineness of the lines and the precision in his work. If you really focus on the details in his illustrations you would think that he used some modern day computer program to draw, but he didn't, and that's the beauty of it. I was actually inspired by his astonishing fine work that I illustrated my ideas following his way of drawing. It took me 9 to 10 hours of illustrating non stop just to perfect it, and I think did. What do you guys think?
